Why is it that summer is so crazy for us? Do I do this to us or is it just the way it is for families now? I missed a post yesterday – I have tried to be really good about posting during the week, but I couldn’t even lift my fingers to type yesterday. To be honest, it is pretty difficult to get this post out today. My family is running in a million different directions. This weekend, for example, I had one daughter we picked up Auburn, one daughter at Duke, one daughter in Pennsylvania at a lacrosse tournament and we dropped off my son at wrestling camp.
My daughter at the lax tournament, was on a team bus for 17 hours on the way home. She rolled into the school parking lot at 8:39 this morning and we had to leave at 9:00 to head to North Carolina for another lacrosse camp. What is God’s name was I thinking?? I had to pack another bag of sports stuff, since we had no time to wash, grab some food and start driving. Let’s just say that no one in the car was happy.
We met our friends in North Carolina at the hotel. The girls are going to UNC together. I am so thrilled to be here and just have a couple days to wind down before the next whirl-wind. Hubs is dropping off my Auburn daughter at the airport tomorrow to head to Minnesota for two weeks and will pick up my son on Thursday. I even have him running like crazy!
Here are the girls “draining their lactic acid” before camp. They have no idea that this is not possible by elevating your legs, but we let them go with it since it kept them busy for 20 minutes. I guess it does reduce swelling after a hard workout so it does have some benefit. It hurts like hell when you are done – which made me laugh. Mean Mom.
Would you lay on a hotel room floor? Not me.
This is my other daughter with Aubie at Auburn. She is crazy about this school and wants to go here so badly to play with their marching band. I can’t believe she is already thinking about college. It kills me.
So since today is Tuesday, and I usually do a Teach Me Tuesday I was going to teach you how not to be crazy, stupid busy in the summer.
But, I am too crazy, stupid busy to finish this post … zzzzzzzzz!
