I had the most wonderful thing happen to me on Friday. A fellow blogger, Peggy from The Decorating Files has awarded me the Versatile Blogger Award!
I have never won an award before and this announcement put me into such a happy place I almost wet my pants! First of all, I would like to thank the academy, my mom and dad for always believing in me and my agent, publicist and friend … wait a minute. I don’t have an agent or publicist …. well not yet! Ha! I know I am being a little dramatic … but I may never get a chance to give this speech again, so what the hell? Oh crap … I forgot my husband and kids.
Who knew that blogging about home decor and projectile vomiting would win me a Versatile Blogger Award? Thank you so much Peggy! Peggy always leaves me the best comments and I am so thrilled she thought of me! This is an award given from blogger to blogger, kinda like the SAG Awards in Hollywood. Not really … but a girl can dream and make up fake things in her head, can’t she?

Love your illustrations! You are so clever and funny. This is why I love your blog! BTW, #6 would scare me to death, too!
Thank you so much, I am honored and happy fo discover your wonderful blog too!
How scary about the dentists office….great, one more thing to be freaked about when I go:) Since I would love to be a screenwriter maybe we will meet up in our next lives on the Broadway stage!!
Thanks again will acknowledge this in a post this week.t
Thanks so much Tina! I am thrilled to have had you visit my blog. I am so in love with your blog and your store! If we meet up in another life, will you write me a really juicy part where I sing, dance and have a steamy love scene with Robert Pattinson? I would be forever grateful!
Congratulazioni per il tuo successo!
Ciao Bella
Show off! I so wish I was in Italy with you – I am dying of jealousy!! Miss you terribly.
#1. My favorite color is green! #5. If you read my blog I really don’t even have to tell you! I have been trying to put * in all the cusswords in all the blogs for over 2 weeks now and keep finding more! #6. I work for an Oral Surgeon and I have NEVER heard of that happening!! Either I work for a rockstar or you need a new dentist
Thanks again for this award! You rock for thinking of me! But, you rock harder because you have 4 teens!!!!!
We have so much in common! We should hang out in our green
bikini’spantsuits and say real bad words for hours! Can you believe that dentist story? I have never gone back to him … too crazy! I am not rocking too hard tonight – my kids are fighting like crazy and I feel like hiding in the closet in the fetal position. Aarrgghh!! Love your blog so much … you crack me up!okay, since I got the Top Parenting Blog award I feel like I should give you advice here.
Regarding your fighting teenagers here’s what you do: Very quietly get up and find the nearest shoe and chuck it at them. They will disperse quickly..I promise you! If they don’t then chase after them. If their still not scared…grab a broom! My husbands mother did it all the time and he turned out just fine
I am in complete awe at your amazing advice. Why didn’t I think of the shoe idea? I thought the grabbing the pony tail while pulling them to the ground and saying in a scary whispery voice …”I own you! So do what I say … NOW!” was the best way to stop the fighting. It could not work nearly as well as the “dreaded broom chase”. I will store these ideas for next time. Therapy isn’t really that expensive. Right? HA!
Missi,
Hello! A very big CONGRATS! on the Versatile Blogger Award! Yeah! You do have an awesome blog my friend and really deserve this award. I love those two songs as well and while I do listen to Green Day, Rap, Hip Hop, etc of this generation when my teens are in the car, my favorite music will always be from the 50′s, 60′s and 70′s ! At least you can understand the lyrics and sing along. Have a great Tuesday!
La Bella Leigh
Thanks Leigh! Wish we lived closer … we have so much in common. We could torture our teens by rapping in the car with all the wrong words. They love that!
Off to watch the Olympics … I am seriously addicted! Have a great night girl!
Congrats and thanks for the compliments on our blog!
