Well … we had quite a day in Georgia yesterday. One storm after another meant the kids spent a majority of their day in the school hallway with their heads down. I spent the day in the basement with the animals. It turned out to just be a lot of rain and a little wind in my area, but I know that several towns were hit very hard. Two huge tornadoes touched down and left devastation. I feel very blessed that my town was spared today and I will add some extra prayers for those that lost their homes and/or businesses.
Look at the size of that Twister! That is what they call a Oklahoma tornado. I can’t believe people stand outside and tape these monsters. If I saw that – I would piss my pants and then run like hell to the basement. Holy Moly!
Homes damaged in Adairsville, Georgia. Heartbreaking.
More damage in Adairsville, Georgia. So scary!
I had planned on showing you all my new chair, but it seems a little silly to show you pictures of my newly upholstered chair when people are so sad and scared today, so I will save the pictures for tomorrow. I know you understand.
Say an extra prayer that you are in your own home, warm and fed. I know I will.
Hope your life is more sunny days heaven than nasty tornado havoc!

I hate when I see this because we have survived a couple tornado’s like that ourselves when we lived in Illinois. I know how scared and devastated they all are. It affects everyone. My prayers are with them.
I can’t imagine being in a tornado. The sounds must be so so scary. Hope you are doing well girl! xoxo
This kind of a devastation is so sad. At the same time, I am left speechless that nature can do something like that. It’s absolutely the power of Mother Nature. My prayers are with all of the people affected by these tornadoes. I always wonder where they go from here.

Thanks for commenting Karina. I know what you mean. I just can’t imagine losing everything – especially pictures and antiques (like your grandma’s china). I guess that once you and your family are safe – nothing else matters.
