Well, another Friday and as I am sitting here in my house with electricity, the heat cranking and cold food in the fridge, I can’t help thinking about all those families affected by Sandy. My thoughts and prayers have been going out to those on the East Coast that are really struggling today. I hope that you have lights, heat and a cold fridge very soon. Hang in there – we are all sending good thoughts your way.
Today’s FFF will again highlight some of my amazing follower’s projects. I can’t wait to show you some incredible yards that were sent to me. Keep the pictures coming – I love to see what you have been up to!
This first set of pictures was sent to me by a dear friend who I have known since I moved to Georgia 15 years ago. My twins and her daughter were in play group together starting at 9 months – they are now 16! She and her husband just updated their backyard and what an update it is! This is just a couple before and after pics – but if you are anything like me, you are going to be craving some more. I plan on doing a complete post on just these amazing updates!
This is a before picture. They had a beautiful brick patio that was surrounded by the biggest azaleas you have ever seen. The problem they always had was there was no shade and the azaleas attracted a million bees. It looked gorgeous but it was not always the most functional.
The landscaping is gone and the trucks come in …
Hold onto your hats folks … check out this after:
OMG! Are you dying? The sun problem was solved with this incredible screen porch and don’t even get me started on the pool!
Here is the yard from another angle. Do you see what I mean when I say this yard deserves an entire post? I can’t wait to see what that screened in porch looks like inside. Stay tuned.
The next couple pictures are from a hilarious friend that I have met through the marching band. She brings pure joy to everyones lives she comes in contact with. I have never met a more positive person that just exudes happiness. I am so blessed to call her a friend.
She had a big, ugly hill in their backyard that they couldn’t figure out what to do with. Here is what they came up with:
Hello?? They didn’t half-ass this project. Most people would have planted some ground cover and called it a day, but just look at this incredible solution to an ugly hill!
I have spent some time sitting in front of this fireplace and I never want to leave! The sound of the waterfalls with the crackling fire is heaven!
Thanks so much to my followers and friends for sending in these pictures. I can’t tell you how much I LOVE seeing what you are doing!!
Hope your life is more Friday heaven than Monday havoc!
