Good Monday Morning!
It was a pretty lazy weekend around the Smith house. One of my twins got her wisdom teeth out last Thursday and needed a lot of down time this weekend. I played nurse with ice packs, pain medication and soft foods. It was a good excuse to watch movies, stay in our jammies and eat pudding. How often do you have a weekend to do that?
Monday signals another busy week – my other twin daughter starts a Teen Art Program about 20 miles from our house, my son is going to do two weeks of summer school and daughter number 3 leaves for another lacrosse tournament in Florida. Lots of driving for Mama Smith this week. Art and school are 5 days a week and if anyone knows anything about Atlanta traffic, 20 miles is a beating! Then I leave Friday to drive to Flagler Beach, FL for the tournament. Dad will pick up the craziness at the end of the week. He always has his own craziness at work. He has been so busy at work lately.
Today’s post is about my new sponsor. Now – I have to be up front, this sponsor is my sister (Krissy) and friend’s (Erica) store so I am a bit biased on how great it is. But – I think you will agree, that even if it wasn’t my sister’s store it would be one of my favorites!
This store is called cranky Alice (lower case “c” upper case “A”) your house . . .your rules. I love this tag line. It is so great for strong women who know exactly what they want! cranky Alice has locally crafted, one of a kind gifts and on trend apparel and accessories. Check out the Alice’s:
My sister, Krissy is on the left and her business partner, Erica is on the right! Don’t they look cranky? Ha!
All of cranky’s jewelry is made by local artists. I really like how they support their local community and small business owners.
The store is located in an amazing old historic building in New Prague, Minnesota. It has amazing architecture and a really cool feel to it.
An eclectic mix of jewelry, clothes and home accessories! I don’t know why the “a” is lower case. Alice must have been really cranky the day she couldn’t find an uppercase “A”.
Vintage-inspired clothing on a great display!
These are some of their newer items for the summer. Could you just die over that knit chevron dress? Yep – me too and so could my daughter who just haaaadddd to have it! But I have to admit, she looks pretty darn cute in it! Gammie sent it down to Atlanta from Minnesota!
Daughter 3 in a dress instead of a lacrosse uniform! Please refrain from looking at the unfinished dining room behind her. Shame!
Huge selection of Miss Me Jeans!
Alice has a funky side!
This jewelry is made out of old innertubes! So chic and green! Don’t you just love recycled items that turn into such beautiful, unique things?
I’ll take one of each please!
I love the way these scarfs and bags are displayed on this old dresser. So creative!
This is just more funky items at the store! They have such fan-tab-u-lous and super awesome stuff!
More items made from innertubes! Could these be cooler displayed on an orange trunk? Love love love it!
So that is a little peek at cranky Alice. Their inventory changes all the time and never disappoints! Be sure to click on their logo on my sidebar under “i love my sponsors!” to see their website and learn more about this wonderful small business. The store has been in business for 3 years and just recently expanded by double! If you live in Minnesota, this store is definitely worth a trip to the small town of New Prague! Be sure to tell “Alice” I said hello!
Hope your life is more Alice heaven than cranky havoc!
