Add a Pop of Color

Today is such a perfect day to talk about a POP of color. It is gray and raining here in Georgia – this day could use it’s own Pop of color for sure! Color makes me happy. Now don’t get me wrong, I think those neutral rooms that are all the rage right now are gorgeous, but it’s just not me or my family. We are loud, crazy and always busy – I like to think of my family as colorful. I couldn’t picture us in a neutral room.

Beautiful right? But I would feel like I would need to scream and jump on the furniture to bring some “life” into this room. I do love to look at it though.

A lot of people are afraid of color. The best way to ease your way into color is with some “pops” of color in your room. Here are some amazing examples:

Just adding a colorful throw can change the feel of the entire room.

Look at this furniture – it is all white. White walls – white rug – simple coffee table. The entire room just screams fun, bold and alive – just by adding a few super colorful pieces!

This roman shade looks so amazing in this breakfast nook.

You can always paint to add color, but sometimes it can be as simple as just adding a colorful vase, throw or drapery.

Hope your life is more colorful heaven than plain neutral havoc!

  1. Very nice! I love the dining room doors! Aside from the drapes, I think the texture is what gives this room personality.
