Happy Thursday from Northern Virginia!
My daughter and I stopped at a hotel on the way to Delaware. I just couldn’t bear going through Washington DC and Baltimore traffic at the end of the trip. I was exhausted and my butt was killing me – not to mention Cracker Barrel was screaming at me to come eat some chicken and dumplings. Who I am to argue with “The Barrel”? We will head out early in the morning. Only 3.5 hours to go!
A couple of weeks ago, a friend and neighbor asked me if I would give her some ideas on what she can do with her old coffee cans. I am sure she thinks I have forgotten – but I just “misplaced” the thought until yesterday.
She used to use the cans to store cookies in and send as care packages to her boys. The boys are now grown and eat too healthy for a coffee can full of cookies so she has them piling up. I don’t know how you can ever be too healthy or too grown up for cookies, but that’s just me and my unhealthy self speaking.
So … here we go – 10 fun things to do with coffee cans:

I KNEW you didn’t forget me Missi, and I also knew you would come through eventually. Not that things seemed to have slowed down for you….
Can you answer a question about spray painting the red Folgers cans? Do you need a special paint to cover plastic? I never thought to do it, I just assumed it wouldn’t stick.
Thanks!
Eileen

I also never thought of the lantern idea or the art supplies storage. So thank you! My coffee cans will go to good use.
